Hello! Kim here from Cardmaking Blonde joining you today with some more inspiration from April’s Flavor of the Month Card Kit. I am in awe of just how much I was able to get out of this collection!
I typically only make cards but this time I wanted to branch out and do a little something different…bookmarks! As a kid and even into adulthood I love bookmarks although I don’t have as much of a need for them with my Kindle and Kindle App on my phone but the need is still there (mostly to save my place in a book of card sketches!).

This was the last thing I created from this collection because I was down to scraps. As I was looking at the pieces I had left and thought about how to use them I spotted the Lawn Fawn die and knew this would be perfect.

There are quite a few elements here from a few different stamp sets. All the images are from Sunny Studio Stamps. The cowgirl and cowboy of course are from April’s kit. The cow peeking his head out and the horse are from Barnyard Buddies and were the perfect additions to this card. I wanted the background papers to really pop which is why I chose black as the cover and finally I embossed the sentiments with white embossing powder.

Here are the bookmarks! The dies are from MFT and I have had them for over a year, this was the first time I used them. They came out so cute that I am itching to make more.

I could NOT get enough of the paper from this collection! (I immediately got my hand on a full paper pad because so many ideas hit me when I saw it.)

The card on the left gave me a chance to do something new to me. The large doily type circle was in my scrap folder (thank you past self) but needed something more. I was crafting with my gal pals virtually (like we do now) and someone said it needs ribbon, well I had twine so I “sewed” it through the holes and voila!
April’s Flavor of the Month card kit is sold out but do not be discouraged! We are about to enter a week of sneak peeks for May’s Flavor of the Month kit and you don’t want to miss it!!! Keep in mind if you want to ensure that you will get your own kit sign up for a subscription. If you want to wait and see what is coming I totally get that just make sure to be quick about buying your one time kit when it releases which will be May 30th at midnight EST. (Which most of us think of being Friday night, I do anyway.)
Thank you for taking a gander at my creations from the Howdy Partner collection! I’m much obliged.
Keep on crafting,
Kim
